I’m drawn to problems at the intersection of real-world engineering and artificial intelligence. The challenges that grab me have structure that isn’t easy to formalize, forcing a mix of mathematical rigor and practical intuition. I’m interested in compressing hard-won engineering know-how into systems that scale—whether that means turning years of practice into data-driven models or building tools that tighten the loop between design, simulation, and fabrication.

I’m especially curious about how to encode physical knowledge in learning systems. I want machine learning to be not just accurate, but interpretable and easy to drop into day-to-day engineering workflows. Right now I’m focused on building systems that help teams move faster, explore more ideas, and leave repetitive grunt work behind.
